Katherine Clark

Katherine S. Clark has a mediation, arbitration and civil litigation practice with significant experience handling wrongful termination, FMLA, CFRA, harassment and discrimination (age, race, national origin, disability, sex, pregnancy) lawsuits. She counsels companies and individuals regarding human resources policies, personnel issues and severance packages and attends labor commission, EEOC and DFEH hearings. Formerly a partner with Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley, she has significant trial, mediation and arbitration experience representing individuals, executives, small, medium and large business entities, hospitals, medical and dental practices, and government entities. Ms. Clark is the author of the governmental claims portion of the Continuing Education of the Bar Action guide. She has also lectured and participated in seminars on topics including defense of personal injury actions, arbitrations, government claims, earth movement litigation and civil trial practice.

Following graduation in 1975 from the University of California At Berkeley with a degree in Communications and Public Policy, Ms. Clark received her law degree from Hastings College of the Law in 1980. She received her Mediation training at Pepperdine University School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.

Ms. Clark regularly serves as a Mediator with the United States District Court, the Alameda County Superior Court, the San Mateo County Superior Court, and the Palo Alto Mediation Program. She also serves as a court-appointed Arbitrator. She is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the San Mateo County Bar Association, and Bay Area Women Neutrals. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the San Mateo County Bar Association.
